Province Polemarch's Desk
Hello,

Welcome to the website of the Middle Eastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
While the fraternity was founded on January 5, 1911, the Middle Eastern Province was formed in 1926. Currently, the Province consists of chapters in North Carolina and Southern West Virginia. Though limited geographically, the Province possesses a legacy of esteemed members and dynamic chapters, which have culminated in a rich regional history.
The Province has been the host location for three Grand Chapter Meetings and one National Founders’ Day Celebration, as well as being recognized as the birthplace of the Kappa Quiz Bowl and the Beautillion Militaire Program.
From an individual perspective, the Province was home to the 7TH Grand Polemarch, Brother A. Moore Shearin, and the 22nd Grand Polemarch and Laurel Wreath Laureate, Brother Hillary H. Holloway, who also served as the Executive Director of the Fraternity. Furthermore, the Province has been home to a vast number of grand board members and recipients of the Laurel Wreath, Elder Watson Diggs, Guy Levis Grant, and Byron Kenneth Armstrong Awards.
The Middle Eastern Province has and continues to be a home for achievers in EVERY field of human endeavor. Additionally, we pride ourselves on a being a place where genuine brotherhood can be experienced from the shores of Elizabeth City, NC to the mountains of Beckley, WV. It is a place where we remain committed to each other while living out the tenets of Phi Nu Pi.
On behalf of the members of the mighty Middle Eastern Province, thank you for your interests and for visiting our website.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lascel A. Webley, Jr.
