On November 19, 2022, the Lumberton (NC) Alumni & Nu Omicron Chapters assisted the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina with a food donation drive-thru. Food insecurity remains a serious problem in southeast North Carolina as thousands struggle to access nutritious and adequate amounts of food necessary for a healthy life. SHFB takes a strategic, multifaceted approach that provides assistance to those in need in our service area. They service families in Harnett, Hoke, Cumberland, Sampson, Duplin, Robeson, and Bladen Counties.
