The Raleigh (NC) Alumni chapter along with the Kappa Charitable Trust and Knightdale-Wake Forest Education Foundation held a Black Santa event. This event was part of the “RAC Day of Giving” on December 12th 2020. The brothers of the chapter and their families played host during this special day at the Kappa Center in Raleigh, NC. Local families were given an opportunity to visit with Black Santa and receive a free photo with him. In addition over 120 kids were provided wrapped gifts. Hot chocolate and holiday cookies added to the festive atmosphere. Spouses and children of the brothers assisted with the events and wrapped the gifts that were provided. Local undergrad brothers helped assist with welcoming guests and parking. CDC guidelines were followed to help make this a historic event a safe one. In addition grocery store gift cards and groceries were provided to those families that may be experiencing food insecurities. “2020 has presented us with many challenges. With the year the children have had, they deserved something special. Hopefully, we were able to spread a little bit of joy and relief during these trying times. “ Vice Polemarch Victor Hyman.
